Actual exam question for ServiceNow's CSA exam
Question #: 76
Topic #: 2
[All CSA Questions]

If users would like to locate and assign a task to themselves in the Platform, what action could they perform from the list view to make the assignment? (Choose 2 answers)

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A, B

Detailed Explanation:

To assign a task to themselves, users in ServiceNow can:

Option A: Use the check box to select the record, then click the Person icon to assign it.

Option B: Select the Task number and use the Assign to me UI action available on the form. These methods provide quick ways for users to take ownership of tasks directly from the list view. (Reference: ServiceNow Documentation - Task Assignment and List Actions)

This question is a piece of cake! I bet the developer who wrote it has never actually used the platform before.

C is just asking for trouble. Right-clicking? Really? This is the 21st century, not the 90s.

D is just ridiculous. Who would want to manually type the user's name? That's way too much effort.

I'm not sure, but I think option C could also work. Right-clicking on the Task number and selecting Assign to me might be another way to assign a task.

I agree with Sina, selecting the record and using the Person icon or Assign to me UI action seem like the right steps.

I tried B, but it didn't work. The Assign to me UI action is only available on the form, not the list view.

I think option A and B are the correct actions to assign a task to myself.

A and E are the only valid options here. Selecting the record and then using the Assign To Me action on the list header is the way to go.
