I agree, Option A covers the essential elements. Recognizing different personalities and motivations can be useful, but shouldn't be about exploiting weaknesses.
Option A seems the most comprehensive. Setting objective criteria, understanding the underlying needs, and being prepared to compromise are all key to successful negotiation.
