Haha, I wonder if the exam question writer has ever tried to do exploratory testing while riding a unicycle. That would be a truly reactive approach!

This is a tricky one, but I think Cletus is right. Exploratory testing is the definition of a reactive test approach. The other options are more proactive in nature.

Automation of regression tests is great for efficiency, but it's not reactive like exploratory testing.

I think risk-based testing is more proactive, so it can't be the answer.

I'm going to go with C) Exploratory testing. It's the only option that specifically mentions a reactive approach, where the tester responds to the system's behavior as they explore it.

But exploratory testing reacts to the software as it's being tested, that's why I think it's the right answer.

Hmm, I'm not sure. Isn't automation of regression tests also a reactive approach? It helps catch regressions quickly after changes are made.

I think exploratory testing is the correct answer here. It's a reactive approach where the tester explores the system to uncover issues, rather than following a predefined plan.
