VMware Exam 2V0-51.23 Topic 3 Question 27 Discussion

Actual exam question for VMware's 2V0-51.23 exam
Question #: 27
Topic #: 3
[All 2V0-51.23 Questions]

In a load balanced Horizon POD with three Connection Servers, there are 450 active Blast sessions connected. What happens if one of these Connection Servers runs into an unplanned outage?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

Global Entitlements in VMware Horizon allow for the aggregation of resources across multiple pods and sites into a single entitlement. This feature is particularly beneficial when publishing applications that are hosted across different pods, as it ensures that users see only one icon for the application, regardless of which pod it is hosted on, simplifying the user experience and administration of applications in a multi-pod Horizon environment.

I don't think that's correct. HTTPS Secure Tunnel and Blast Secure Gateway are essential for maintaining the Blast sessions, even in a load-balanced environment.

Option A seems the most likely, as the Connection Server is responsible for managing the Blast sessions. If one server goes down, the load balancer should redirect the sessions to the remaining servers.

That makes sense, since HTTPS Secure Tunnel is disabled. So, option D could be the correct answer.

I disagree, I believe only the active sessions from the failed Connection Server will be disconnected.

I think if one Connection Server goes down, all active sessions will be disconnected.
