Which two networking planes are converged in a VMware NSX-T Data Center? (Choose two.)

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A, C

According to1, VMware NSX-T Data Center implements three separate but integrated planes: management, control, and data.

The management plane provides a single point of configuration and REST API entry-points for NSX-T Data Center components.

The control plane is responsible for computing network state based on configuration from the management plane and topology information from transport nodes.

The data plane consists of transport nodes that provide connectivity for workloads and enforce network policies.

The data plane and control plane are definitely converged in NSX-T. This is the backbone of the software-defined networking approach.

I believe the Management Plane is also important in VMware NSX-T Data Center, as it is responsible for configuring and monitoring the network infrastructure.

I agree with Taryn. The Control Plane is responsible for making decisions about where data should be forwarded, while the Data Plane is responsible for actually forwarding the data.
