I'm confident that A is wrong. ConfigMaps are not meant to be used as Persistent Volumes. B and D sound like the way to go.

A is definitely not the way to go. ConfigMaps should not be mounted as Persistent Volume Claims.

I agree, D is also correct. ConfigMap data can be consumed from environment variables.

Haha, imagine if E was the right answer! 'Containers do not consume ConfigMap data' - what a waste of a question that would be.

Hmm, I'm not sure about C. Doesn't a ConfigMap have to be read-only for security reasons? I'll go with B and D.

User 2: Yeah, that makes sense. I also believe it can be consumed from environment variables.

I'm not sure about that, I think it could also be B and D.

I agree with Lettie, mounting as a PVC and using environment variables make sense.

I think the correct answers are B and D. Containers can access ConfigMap data through read-only files and environment variables, but not through a Persistent Volume Claim (PVC).

That's correct. Containers do not consume ConfigMap data through PVC.

So, mounting as a Persistent Volume Claim (PVC) is not a way for containers to consume ConfigMap data.
