The network issue is the most logical explanation. Can't have high availability if the hosts can't communicate, right?

Haha, vMotion error? What is this, amateur hour? Obviously, the network connection is the problem. I can smell it from here.

A reboot of vCenter Server? That's a good one! As if that would impact vSphere HA. I'm going with the network disconnect answer.

It's possible that the network disconnect affected the failover process.

Maybe there was a network issue that caused the VMs to not failover properly.

I agree, that seems like a likely reason for the failover to fail.

I think the host disconnecting from the network is the cause.

I'm not sure, but maybe the VMs encountered an error during vMotion?

Nah, I don't think it's the cloning operations. That seems like a totally different issue. This is probably related to the network connection.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure the host being disconnected from the network is the culprit here. It would explain why the VMs couldn't failover.

I agree with Amina, that could definitely be the reason for the HA failover failure.

I think the possible cause could be the host disconnecting from the network.
