D seems a bit out of place here. Consolidation is more of a VMware Tools thing, not vSphere vMotion. I'm going with B, the storage array maintenance scenario.
I'm torn between A and B, but I think B makes the most sense. Migrating a VM to another storage array during maintenance is a key use case for vSphere vMotion.
Option B looks like the correct answer to me. If the storage array requires maintenance, vSphere vMotion can help migrate the VM to another storage array without any downtime.
I'm not sure, but I think B) The storage array on which a VM is running requires to enter maintenance mode could also be a valid use case for vSphere Storage vmotion.
