Snowflake Exam DSA-C02 Topic 4 Question 25 Discussion

Actual exam question for Snowflake's DSA-C02 exam
Question #: 25
Topic #: 4
[All DSA-C02 Questions]

In a simple linear regression model (One independent variable), If we change the input variable by 1 unit. How much output variable will change?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: D

All are correct except a standard-only stream tracks row inserts only.

A standard (i.e. delta) stream tracks all DML changes to the source object, including inserts, up-dates, and deletes (including table truncates).

D) by its slope, of course! How else would the output change? Unless the input is a quantum variable, then it might change by 0.5 units or something.

Hmm, I was going to say B) no change, but then I remembered that's for a constant, not a variable. D) by its slope makes sense.

So, if we change the input variable by 1 unit, the output will change by the slope.

Wait, what? I thought it was just a 1-unit change. This is way too complicated for a simple linear regression model.

The slope of the regression line tells us the change in the output variable for a 1-unit change in the input variable. So the correct answer is D) by its slope.

I'm not sure, but I think it will change by 1.

I agree with Erick, it should change by its slope.
