Which command manually triggers a single run of a scheduled task (either a standalone task or the root task in a DAG) independent of the schedule defined for the task?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer

All are correct except a standard-only stream tracks row inserts only.

A standard (i.e. delta) stream tracks all DML changes to the source object, including inserts, up-dates, and deletes (including table truncates).

This is a tough one, but I think I'll go with A) RUN TASK. It's simple, to the point, and who doesn't love a good old-fashioned task run?

D) RUN ROOT TASK has my vote. It's got 'root' in the name, so it must be the one to use, right? I mean, who doesn't love a good root task?

Yeah, I'm also leaning towards RUN ROOT TASK. It just makes sense to trigger the root task directly.

I think RUN ROOT TASK is the way to go too. It sounds like it's the main task to run.

I'm going with B) CALL TASK. It's got a nice ring to it, you know? Like I'm summoning the task to do my bidding.

C) EXECUTE TASK seems like the most straightforward way to manually run a task. Why complicate it with 'RUN ROOT TASK'?

I'm not sure, but I think it could also be C) EXECUTE TASK, as it sounds like a command to trigger a task.

I think the answer is D) RUN ROOT TASK. Manually triggering a task independent of the schedule sounds like it would be the root task.

I agree with Bettina, because it makes sense to run a scheduled task manually.
