My money's on A) Windows Active Directory Servers. I mean, c'mon, that's the entire foundation of the network! No way a lowly Domain user is getting in there. Unless, of course, the ServiceNow guys have a special 'Discover all the things!' button that bypasses all security. Wouldn't put it past them.

I'm going with B) Windows DHCP Servers. Those are just glorified IP address dispenser, right? Can't imagine they'd be that locked down. Although, knowing ServiceNow, they probably find a way to mess that up too.

Hmm, I'm not so sure. Maybe D) Windows DNS Servers? Those are kind of the backbone of the network, so they might have extra protection too. Though I guess a Domain admin should be able to see them...

But wouldn't a Domain admin have access to them anyway?

I think the answer is C) Windows Domain Controller Servers. Those servers typically have additional security measures in place that would prevent a basic Domain user from accessing them.

A Domain user with local admin rights should be able to discover all the listed servers, so I'm not sure why the question is asking which ones won't be discovered. Seems like a trick question to me.

I agree, it does seem like a trick question. Maybe they all can be discovered with the right permissions.

That makes sense, DNS servers are not part of the domain so they won't be discovered.

I disagree, I believe the answer is D) Windows DNS Servers because they are not part of the domain.
