The Product Owner is probably disappointed because she asked for a unicorn-powered product and the Scrum Team delivered a regular old horse. Technical debt is the least of their problems.

All of the above? Yikes, this Scrum Team is a hot mess. They should have hired a team of monkeys to run the project - at least they'd be better at quality control.

But what about option B) The Developers have not been paying enough attention to quality? That could also be a contributing factor to the increased technical debt.

I agree with Eric. If they had used the past Sprint Retrospectives effectively, they could have identified and addressed the technical debt issues earlier.

I bet the Scrum Master is too busy playing ping-pong to ensure the team is being transparent. Looks like they need to get their act together.

The Scrum Team clearly hasn't been taking the Sprint Retrospectives seriously. They need to start addressing technical debt and quality issues before it's too late.
