Salesforce Exam Advanced Administrator Topic 4 Question 108 Discussion

Actual exam question for Salesforce's Advanced Administrator exam
Question #: 108
Topic #: 4
[All Advanced Administrator Questions]

Sales managers at Ursa Major Solar have asked for some additional automation around opportunity reminders. If the opportunity is in the Proposal stage a week before the close date, they want an email sent to the opportunity owner and manager. If the Budget Approved custom field is checked, the managers want to be notified immediately.

How should these requirements be met without using code?

I think option D could also work well, as it triggers daily for timely notifications.

If I had a nickel for every time a manager wanted 'no code' automation, I'd be sipping margaritas on a beach right now. But hey, option B seems like the way to go here.

Option B) Create a record-triggered flow with scheduled paths. Configure the trigger to flow after the record is saved.

I agree with Herman, option A seems like the most efficient solution for this automation.

Option B all the way! Scheduled paths are super powerful, and you can even throw in some conditional logic to only notify the managers if the Budget Approved field is checked. Easy peasy!

Hah, using code? No way, these managers want it done without code. I'd go with option D, a schedule-triggered flow is the simplest way to handle this automation.

I disagree, I believe option B is more suitable. It triggers after the record is saved.

I'm torn between B and C, but I think C might be the better option since we want the notification to go out before the record is saved. That way the managers can review and approve the opportunity before it's finalized.

Definitely option B. Scheduled paths in a record-triggered flow is the way to go here, that way the notifications can be triggered based on the record changes.

I think option A is the best choice. It allows for a weekly flow trigger.
