D seems like the obvious choice here. ERDs are all about identifying the 'who' and 'what' of a process, and how they interact. I'm not even sure why the other options are in there.

Hmm, I was leaning towards option B, as ERDs can also show the transformations that occur in a process. But I guess D is a better fit for the overall purpose of an ERD.
