A strategy designer has created 10 actions in the Sales/Credit Cards group and 10 actions in the Sales/Mortgages group. He would like to import all 10 actions from the Credit Cards group and only two actions from the Mortgage group into one decision strategy. What is the minimum number of Proposition Data components he needs to use in his strategy?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B

Proposition Data Components - These components in a decision strategy are used to import and reference actions or propositions.

Requirement - The strategy designer wants to import all actions from one group and a subset from another.

Minimum Number Calculation:

One component for importing all 10 actions from the Sales/Credit Cards group.

Another component for importing the 2 specific actions from the Sales/Mortgages group.

But if he wants to import all 10 actions from Credit Cards and only 2 from Mortgages, he would need at least 12 Proposition Data components, right?

Haha, I bet the strategy designer is regretting creating 20 actions now. But the answer is A) twelve. Gotta have one Proposition Data component for each action, right?

It's definitely a lot of components to manage, but necessary for the strategy to work effectively.

Yeah, that's right. Each action needs its own Proposition Data component.

I'm going with D) three. You only need one Proposition Data component for each group, so that's two. And then you need one more to combine the two groups. Easy peasy!

The answer is clearly A) twelve. How can you import 10 actions from Credit Cards and 2 from Mortgages without having 12 Proposition Data components? Seems pretty straightforward to me.

Because you need one component for each action you import.

Because you need one for each action imported from both groups.
