I bet the real answer is that it causes a stack overflow error and the JVM just gives up and goes home. That's what I'd do if I had to deal with this mess of code.
Come on, guys, it's obviously going to print '1'. The `System.out.println(i)` statement will execute, and `i` is initialized to 1, so what else could it be?
