I bet the real answer is that it causes a stack overflow error and the JVM just gives up and goes home. That's what I'd do if I had to deal with this mess of code.

Hold up, I think it's a compile-time error at lines 12 and 15. Didn't you see that the `super()` call is missing in the constructors? Rookie mistake.

Come on, guys, it's obviously going to print '1'. The `System.out.println(i)` statement will execute, and `i` is initialized to 1, so what else could it be?
