A virtual machine is copied onto portable media and transferred to another machine In a different server pool. The virtual machine is then run on the new host, but it falls to boot. What are two potential problems?
D sounds like the right answer to me. If the virtual machine hasn't been registered with Oracle VM, it's not going to be able to boot up on the new host. Gotta make sure your VMs are properly registered before moving them around.
Haha, this reminds me of that time I tried to move my virtual server to another machine and forgot to update the config. It was a real circus trying to get that thing to boot up again!
I'm going with C. The virtual machine configuration file lists bridges that don't exist on the new host. That's a common issue when migrating VMs, and it can definitely cause boot problems.
B: Yeah, that could definitely cause boot problems. Another potential problem could be that the virtual machine lists bridges that don't exist on the new host.
I think the answer is B. The virtual machine configuration file needs to be updated with the new paths to its virtual disks. Moving a VM to a different server is tricky, and you have to make sure the config is correct.
