A standby database is in mounted state and you are required to perform a failover to the physical standby. Which solution is best suited forthis scenario?
I'm just going to guess and say option B. I mean, how hard can it be to perform a failover, right? As long as I don't accidentally blow up the database, I should be good.
Hold on, are we sure we're not supposed to use the SWITCHOVER statements instead of the RECOVER statements? I'm a little confused, but I'm going to go with option D just in case.
Hmm, I'm leaning towards option A. The RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY DATABASE statement with the FINISH keyword sounds like it could be the way to go for this situation.
I'm not entirely sure, but I think option C might be the right choice as it mentions the RECOVER TO STANDBY DATABASE statement, which sounds relevant for a failover scenario.
Option B seems to be the correct solution since it involves the PREPARE TO SWITCHOVER and COMMIT TO SWITCHOVER statements, which are specifically designed for performing a failover to a physical standby database.
