I'm just hoping the answer isn't 'a shoebox full of index cards' or 'the back of a napkin'. That would be a pretty outdated content store, even for a case engine!
Ooh, a database, huh? That could be interesting, but I wonder how well it scales and handles all the different content types that might be needed for a case management system.
I'm going to guess that option C, the file system, is the correct answer. It seems like the most flexible and widely-supported option for a content store.
The case engine seems to be a pretty versatile tool if it can use different content stores. I'm curious to know more about how it integrates with various systems.
