Clearly, the answer is user-defined demand. I mean, it's the only option that doesn't involve a time machine or a crystal ball. Unless, of course, you're planning to reserve materials for a project in the multiverse.

I'm going with the user-defined demand option. It's the only one that makes sense. Unless, of course, you want to reserve material for a future project... in the past. Then the project number might work.
