Question #: 10
Topic #: 3
[All 1Z0-1066-24 Questions]

During a client implementation, it is determined that an external forecast will need to be imported into Planning Central for use as a Demand Schedule in a Supply Plan.

What three steps must be executed to enable the successful load of the External Forecast file? (Choose three.)

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A, B, D

To apply different service-level percentages to item groupings, you first need to create a supply planning policy assignment set that defines the rules for various segments. Next, define segment groups to categorize items based on shared attributes. Finally, execute segmentation to assign items to the correct segments and apply the desired safety stock policies. This process ensures service-level percentages are customized per grouping as documented in Oracle's guidelines on safety stock policies and segmentation

Wait, we have to actually do work to get this forecast imported? I was hoping for a 'Summon the Forecast Fairy' option on the list.

As a former IT support technician, I can tell you that the 'Collect Legacy Data Process' is usually reserved for retrieving data from ancient systems running on floppy disks. Definitely not the way to go here.

Zipping the file? What is this, the 90s? I think E is a distractor option. I'll go with A, B, and D.

I also believe zipping the file is not required. A, B, and D are the essential steps for importing the External Forecast file.

I think zipping the file is unnecessary. A, B, and D are the key steps to successfully load the External Forecast file.

I agree, zipping the file seems outdated. A, B, and D are the most logical steps.

I'm not sure about the Collect Legacy Data Process. Isn't that more for historical data rather than a forecast? I'd go with B and D for sure.

Definitely need to generate a CSV file for this. The question clearly states that an external forecast file needs to be imported, so A is the first step.
