You need to set up a calendar for the year Apr-XX to Mar-YY where YY is the following year, and you would like the periods to be named according to the year they fall in.
I'm gonna have to go with Option C, Period. It's vague enough that it could work for any of the other options, and who doesn't love a good ol' fashioned 'period' joke? Am I right, folks?
Ah, the age-old question of Fiscal Year vs. Calendar Year. It's like choosing between a sandwich with the crusts cut off or a sandwich with the crusts still on - both are valid, but one just feels a little more grown-up, you know?
Hmm, I'm not so sure. A Fiscal Year might be more appropriate here, since the periods are based on the financial year rather than the calendar year. It just makes more sense for reporting and budgeting purposes.
I think the obvious choice here is Option B, Calendar Year. That's the standard format for most organizations, right? I mean, who even uses Fiscal Year anymore?
