E) WHERE city IN (*%AN%') is an interesting option, but I'm not sure it's the right one. Shouldn't we be using LIKE instead of IN for the city column?

D) WHERE city = =%AN%' seems a bit weird to me. Why the double equals sign and the single quotes around %AN%? I'm leaning towards C) WHERE city LIKE *%AN%*.

I'm going with B) ORDER BY 1, 2. It's more concise and straightforward, and I don't see any issues with it.

I think the answer is A) ORDER BY 1, LNAME DESC. The question states that we need to sort the cities in ascending order and the last names in descending order, which is exactly what this clause does.

I'm not sure about the WHERE clause. Should we use city LIKE '%AN%' or city = '%AN%'?

I agree with Kasandra. We also need to add ORDER BY last_name DESC, city ASC.
