I don't think so, because even for Storage Only node type a Nutanix Controller VM is deployed to manage the storage resources.

I believe the answer is D) All Flash, because even though it's all flash, it still requires the Nutanix Controller VM.

That makes sense too, as the Nutanix Controller VM is more relevant for hyper-converged nodes.

Alright, team, let's pool our knowledge here. From what I understand, the Nutanix Controller VM is the central brain of the cluster, so it has to be on the nodes that combine compute and storage. That rules out A) Storage Only and C) Compute Only. *pauses* Wait, is D) All Flash a trick question? *laughs* Anyway, I'm going with B) Hyper Converged.
