I disagree, I believe setting the target value to the last retrieved login_date_time value is the correct configuration.

I think the listener should be configured to set the watermark column to the user_Id column.

You know what, I'm just going to go with option B. Setting the target value to the last retrieved login_date_time value sounds the most straightforward to me. Worst case, I can always explain my reasoning if I get it wrong.

Hmm, I think the key here is to use the right columns as the watermark and target value. Since the user_id column and the login_date_time column are both unique, we need to use one of them to ensure we don't retrieve the same row multiple times.
