Azure SQL Database is the database service I'd use to support an OLTP application. It's like the Goldilocks of Azure databases - not too big, not too small, just right!

Azure HDInsight is for big data and Apache Hadoop workloads. That's completely overkill for a simple OLTP application. Azure SQL Database is the way to go.

Azure Synapse Analytics is more of a data warehousing and analytics service, not really suitable for OLTP. I'd go with Azure SQL Database.

Hmm, I'm not sure about Azure Cosmos DB. Isn't that a NoSQL database? I don't think that's the right fit for an OLTP application.

Azure SQL Database seems like the obvious choice here. It's a fully managed relational database service, perfect for OLTP workloads.

I'm not sure, but Azure Cosmos DB also supports OLTP. Maybe we should consider that too.
