You have an Azure Data Lake Storage account that contains a staging zone.

You need to design a daily process to ingest incremental data *rom the staging zone, transform the data by executing an R script and then insert the transformed data into a data warehouse in Azure Synapse Analytics.

Solution: You use an Azure Data Factory schedule trigger to execute a pipeline that executes a mapping data flow, and then inserts the data into the data warehouse.

Does this meet the goal?

Hmm, I'm not sure about using a mapping data flow. Wouldn't a custom code activity be more flexible for the R script transformation? I'd want to dig into the details a bit more.

I'm not sure, I think we should consider other options as well.

This solution seems straightforward and covers the key requirements - ingesting incremental data, transforming with an R script, and loading to the data warehouse. Looks good to me!

I agree with Denae, using Azure Data Factory seems like a good approach.
