Microsoft Exam AZ-204 Topic 15 Question 74 Discussion

Actual exam question for Microsoft's AZ-204 exam
Question #: 74
Topic #: 15
[All AZ-204 Questions]

You develop Azure Web Apps for a commercial diving company. Regulations require that all divers fill out a health questionnaire every 15 days after each diving job starts.

You need to configure the Azure Web Apps so that the instance count scales up when divers are filling out the questionnaire and scales down after they are complete.

You need to configure autoscaling.

What are two possible autoscaling configurations to achieve this goal? Each correct answer presents a complete solution.

NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point.

This is a tough one, but I think the correct answers are B) CPU usage-based autoscaling and C) Recurrence profile. The CPU usage-based approach makes sense, but the recurrence profile would be a more reliable way to ensure the scaling happens at the right times.

Yes, and using the recurrence profile would ensure that the scaling happens at the right times as required by the regulations.

I agree with you, CPU usage-based autoscaling would definitely help in scaling up when the divers are filling out the questionnaire.

I'm leaning towards C) Recurrence profile. Since the questionnaire is filled out every 15 days, we could set up a schedule to scale up and down accordingly. That way, we don't have to rely solely on CPU usage, which could be affected by other factors.

I'm not sure about CPU usage-based autoscaling. I think predictive autoscaling could also be a viable option to anticipate the increase in demand when divers start filling out the questionnaire.

Hmm, both B) CPU usage-based autoscaling and C) Recurrence profile sound like viable options to me. The CPU usage-based approach could work well since the divers filling out the questionnaire would likely cause a spike in CPU usage, triggering the scale-up.

I agree with Rebbecca. CPU usage-based autoscaling would be a good option to scale up and down based on the activity of the divers.
