If the default provider is not VirtualBox, then I guess Vagrant must be broken. That's like the universal truth of the universe or something. C all the way!
I heard Vagrant can also work with Docker, but that's more of an advanced use case. For the default, basic setup, I'm going to go with C. VirtualBox is the way to go!
Hmm, I thought Vagrant could work with a bunch of different providers, including LXC and Hyper-V. But I've always used the VirtualBox provider, so that's my guess. C seems like the safest bet.
Wait, isn't Docker a container platform, not a hypervisor? I think the default provider for Vagrant has to be one of the virtualization solutions, like VirtualBox or VMware Workstation. I'll go with C.
I'm pretty sure the default provider for Vagrant is VirtualBox. It's the most widely used and supported provider, so C looks like the correct answer to me.
