I was sure it was /usr/local/logs, since that's where a lot of custom application logs are stored. Guess I need to brush up on my Linux file system knowledge.

The syslog files are definitely located in the /var/log directory. That's the standard location for system logs on Linux systems.

I'm not sure, but I think it makes sense for log files to be stored in /var/log for system-wide logs.
