As a developer, I spend more time tracing bugs than I do tracing requests. Maybe I should just put D) Bucket and hope the grader has a sense of humor.

C) Trace? Maybe that's the term used to refer to the entire journey of a request through the distributed system, but I'm pretty sure B) Span is the right answer here.
