An organization is outsourcing a key database to be hosted by an external service provider. Who is BEST suited to assess the impact of potential data loss?
I'm just glad I don't have to deal with all this data privacy stuff. I'd be happy to just manage the database and leave the risk assessment to the professionals. As long as it doesn't crash, that's all that matters, right?
The database manager could be a good option, but they might be a little too close to the technical details to see the bigger picture. A data privacy manager could bring a more holistic perspective.
The business manager might have a good understanding of the overall impact, but they probably don't have the technical expertise to really dive into the details of data loss scenarios.
The data privacy manager is the obvious choice here. They have the expertise to assess the impact of potential data loss on the organization's compliance and reputation.
