Which of the following is the BEST key performance indicator (KPI) to measure the effectiveness of a disaster recovery test of critical business processes?
B) Percentage of processes recovered within the recovery time and point objectives - Bingo! That's the sweet spot. Recovery time and point are the true measures of success.
C) Number of current test plans and procedures - Really? This is a test of the recovery process, not the documentation. Someone needs to go back to Disaster Recovery 101.
A) Percentage of job failures identified and resolved during the recovery process - this could be a useful KPI, but it doesn't directly measure the overall effectiveness of the test.
D) Number of issues and action items resolved during the recovery test - I think this is also a good metric, as it shows how well the team was able to identify and address problems during the test.
B) Percentage of processes recovered within the recovery time and point objectives - this seems like the most direct way to measure the effectiveness of the disaster recovery test.
I personally think A) Percentage of job failures identified and resolved during the recovery process is also important, as it indicates the effectiveness of the recovery process in addressing issues.
