Hmm, I wonder if the sponsor is just trying to micromanage the project. Recording the concerns in the risk register seems like a waste of time. Let's just get this done and move on!

I'm not sure why the sponsor is worried. As long as the BA has done a thorough job, the process flow and user stories should cover everything. But I guess it doesn't hurt to schedule a formal review just to be safe.
