I agree with the nurse needing written orders. It's not their fault if the doctor couldn't be bothered to put it in writing. Doctors should know better than to throw nurses under the bus like that.

Whoa, hold on there, doc! Verbal orders are not the way to go, especially when there's a lot on the line. The nurse needs that paper trail to make sure things are done right. Blaming the nurse is just passing the buck.

The nurse should definitely have the tasks written down. Verbal orders are prone to misunderstandings, and the doctor should not be blaming the nurse for their own mistake.
