I'm going to go with Option C. Why wouldn't you want all relevant locations and assets to be updated? Seems like the most comprehensive approach.

Hmm, Option D is a bit confusing. Are we sure assets only inherit from templates? I'd double-check the documentation on that one.

Option C seems the most logical choice. It would make sense for all locations and assets referencing the rotating item to be updated with the changes.
