I bet the employee is just faking the carpal tunnel syndrome to get out of typing all those emails. Some people will do anything to avoid work these days.

If they can't find the screen-reader software, they can always just yell at the computer until it understands them. That's how I use my devices.

Reassigning the employee to a different role is the laziest option. Why not make reasonable accommodations to help them keep their current job?

Introducing screen-reader software is definitely the way to go. It will enable the employee to use the computer without exacerbating their carpal tunnel syndrome.

Eliminating keyboard entry tasks seems like a band-aid solution. The employee has been successfully performing their job for years, and they shouldn't be limited in their duties.

I think adding voice-recognition software is the most appropriate solution. It will allow the employee to continue their computer-based work without relying on the keyboard.

I disagree. I think reassignment to a different role might be a better option to prevent further injury.
