When purchasing a storage device, the available capacity is less than the actual hard disk capacity. Which of the following possible reasons is correct ()
RAID verification data? That's a new one. I'm definitely going with C) Data occupation. I mean, who doesn't love a little data taking up space on their storage device?
I was wondering about the hot spare space option, but I guess that's more specific to RAID setups. C) Data occupation seems like the most likely explanation for a regular storage device.
Hmm, I think the answer is C) Data occupation. It makes sense that the actual capacity would be less than the advertised capacity due to the storage required for the operating system and other files.
