I don't know about you, but I'm just glad the battery has a valve that can do all that. Wouldn't want to be the one cleaning up an acid spill, that's for sure.
I bet the exam writer was having a field day coming up with all those technical terms. 'Valve-controlled sealed lead-acid battery safety valve' - talk about a mouthful!
The valve's function seems pretty straightforward - it regulates the internal and external pressure, filters the acid mist, and prevents internal pollution. Seems like a well-rounded safety feature to me.
