I'm with Charolette on this one. ClearPass Insight is the way to go. Though I have to admit, the packets on UDP 1812 do sound like a fun challenge. Maybe I'll try that on the side, just for kicks.

I believe checking the Alerts tab in the authentication record in CPPM Access Tracker could also help identify the issue.

Come on, guys, the reports generated by Aruba ClearPass Insight are where it's at. That's the ultimate source of truth. Anything else is just guesswork.

Dude, the packets captured on the MC control plane destined to UDP 1812? That's just too much work. I'm going with the RADIUS events in the CPPM Event Viewer - gotta keep it simple, you know?

I think the Alerts tab in the authentication record in CPPM Access Tracker is the way to go. That's where I'd expect to find the most detailed information on what's causing the authentication failure.
