Hmm, I was tempted to go with C) HF60, but that would be a bit of a stretch from the HF40. D) HF40C is the safest bet.

I was thinking B) AF40, but that doesn't seem to make sense if the cusBretter is trying to support additional I/O requirements. D) HF40C is probably the best fit here.

The HF40 controllers are being upgraded, so I'd say the correct answer is D) HF40C. It's a natural upgrade path for the existing model.
