The 'Shared Dimension' step? Really? I didn't even know that was a thing. Is that like the 'Dimension Lookup/update' step's nerdy cousin or something?

I'm leaning towards the 'Dimension Lookup/update' step. It just feels like the most logical choice for this task. Although, I do like a good 'Table output' step every now and then, just to keep things interesting.

Hmm, the 'Combination lookup/update' step seems like it could work too. Maybe I should double-check the documentation on that one.

I'm pretty sure the 'Dimension Lookup/update' step is the way to go. That sounds like the perfect tool for managing slowly changing dimensions.

I'm not sure, but I think the 'Combination lookup/update' step could also be used for managing type II SCDs.
