I'm going with C. It's the only one that directly addresses the 'management styles' part of the question. Though I do enjoy the irony of 'lack of confidence in their workers' being an option. That's the understatement of the century!
As a production line worker myself, I can tell you that option A is spot on. The management definitely assumes we're a bunch of lazy slackers who can't be trusted with any responsibility.
Hmm, I'm not sure. I was leaning towards option E, but now I'm second-guessing myself. Theory X leadership is definitely a hallmark of those environments.
