Yeah, that makes sense. And B could also be a reason, if the IPS engine can't decode a particular packet, it may enter fail-open to avoid blocking legitimate traffic.

Alright, so I think the most likely answers are A and B. The IPS buffer being full or the engine not being able to decode a packet. Those seem like the most logical reasons for triggering the fail-open mode.

Good point. And D definitely doesn't seem relevant - NTurbo acceleration is more about performance optimization, not fail-open triggers.
