B looks tempting, but I don't think just changing the action to Alert is enough. We need to be proactive and really address the root of the problem. D is the way to go, in my opinion.

Hmm, I'd go with D. Enabling Bot Confirmation seems like the way to go. We want to make sure real users can get through, but keep those pesky bots at bay. A little extra verification never hurts, right?

I believe enabling Bot Confirmation would also be a good option to prevent real bots from getting through.
