I'm going to go with B, C, and E. Anything else would be like trying to use a forklift to change a lightbulb - just doesn't make sense.

Using a forklift to change a lightbulb is definitely not the right approach.

Manual polling and security policies don't really trigger Layer 2 polling.

B, C, and E for sure. I mean, who would even think that manual polling or security policies have anything to do with Layer 2 monitoring? That's just plain silly.

This is a tricky one, but I'm pretty sure the answer is B, C, and E. Layer 2 polling is all about monitoring the physical layer, not manual inputs or security policies.

Exactly, manual polling and security policies are more related to Layer 3.

So, scheduled poll timings, a failed Layer 3 poll, and linkup and linkdown traps trigger Layer 2 polling.

A and D don't seem right. Manual polling and security policies have nothing to do with Layer 2 polling. I'll go with B, C, and E.

I think it's B, C, and E. Scheduled polls, failed Layer 3 polls, and link up/down traps definitely trigger Layer 2 polling.

I'm not sure about D though. A matched security policy doesn't seem like it would trigger Layer 2 polling.
