Which KSQL queries write to Kafka?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: D

tick time is 2000 ms, and initLimit is the config taken into account when establishing a connection to Zookeeper, so the answer is 2000 * 20 = 40000 ms = 40s

D) CREATE STREAM AS SELECT and CREATE TABLE AS SELECT - That's the correct answer, I'm sure of it. Now if only I could remember how to spell 'KSQL' on the exam...

I'm going to go with D) CREATE STREAM AS SELECT and CREATE TABLE AS SELECT. It's the only option that mentions actually writing to Kafka, which is what the question is asking about. Unless, of course, the exam writers are trying to pull a fast one on us...

B) SHOW STREAMS and EXPLAIN statements? Really? I doubt those would write anything to Kafka. This exam is trying to trick us!

I'm going with C) CREATE STREAM WITH and CREATE TABLE WITH . Seems like the most straightforward way to create new Kafka topics through KSQL.

No, those queries are used to create streams and tables based on existing topics, not to write to Kafka directly.

D) CREATE STREAM AS SELECT and CREATE TABLE AS SELECT - That's the only way to write to Kafka through KSQL, right? The other options are more for managing and inspecting KSQL objects.
