Absolutely. NFC is the clear winner here. The only other option that might work is Bluetooth, but that requires pairing devices, which is a bit more hassle than just tapping your card or phone. NFC is just plug and play, you know?

Yeah, I agree. NFC is the way to go. Wi-Fi, IR, and Bluetooth are all wireless technologies, but they're not really designed for the quick, close-range transactions needed for tap-to-pay. NFC is specifically made for that kind of thing.
