Ha! Option D for backward compatibility? That's a good one. AJAX is all about the modern web, not old browsers. I'd have to go with Option A on this one.

I would go with Option A as well. AJAX is all about that dynamic page refreshing, right? No need to reload the whole thing just to update a small section.
