Haha, I bet the default password is 'password'! But seriously, I think C is the right answer. No connection to the cloud means the AP is stuck in its default configuration.

User1: Exactly, it's important for the AP to connect to the cloud to receive updated configurations.

User2: Yeah, that makes sense. Without connecting to the cloud controller, it would just keep broadcasting the default SSID.

Hmm, I'm leaning towards B. An AP cannot connect to the default gateway. If the AP can't reach the network, it might revert to the default SSID.

That could be a possibility, but I still believe it's C.

I think it's actually C. An AP has never connected to the Meraki Cloud Controller.

I'm going with D. An AP has Site Survey mode enabled. That would explain why the default SSID is visible, as the AP is in a mode to help with deployment.

But if the AP has never connected to the Meraki Cloud Controller, it makes sense that the default SSID is broadcast.

I think the correct answer is C. An AP has never connected to the Meraki Cloud Controller. That makes sense since the default SSID is being broadcast, indicating the AP hasn't been properly configured.

I see your point, it does make sense that the default SSID is being broadcast because the AP hasn't connected to the Meraki Cloud Controller.

That could be a possibility, but I still think option C is more likely.

But what if the AP just doesn't have a wired connection to the network?
